Nightingale Home Care, are proud to offer their extensive range of services to the Greater Geelong region. One of the services our Nursing staff are able to offer is Diabetic consultation & management in a community setting.

Our Nurses are available for assistance with insulin administration, diabetic education, blood glucose monitoring and recording and individualised management plans in conjunction with your GP.

Over the phone check ups at the end of the day to report your Blood Glucose Levels throughout the day, discussions around how best to manage high & low readings, any obstacles or just a general chat about how you have been feeling over the course of the day, can all be done over the phone with one of our friendly nursing staff daily, weekly or respite periods. Whatever your diabetic needs, our highly qualified nursing team can assist you in whatever it is you may need.

Are you change Insulin brands and want to have a little more guidance so you feel comfortable during the changes? You can increase the frequency of contact you wish to have for our nurses to best support your needs.

Does a loved one give your Insulin injections usually & they are going away or unavailable for a short time? We can have one of our nurses there for you to rely on during that respite time.

Have you been recently diagnosed with Diabetes Melitus or transitioned from tablet based management to insulin? There are many different types of Diabetic based care that our nurses can offer. From short term to long term, we are able to help you manage your diabetes requirements with a regular visit or call from our friendly, supportive and highly trained nursing staff.
